As we mark our sixth anniversary, we believe Zenzsual is much more than a brand – it is a movement, a quiet revolution in the way society talks about women’s health and wellness.

“When we first started, the comments we received were sometimes openly hostile,” recalls Dr. Sofia Herrera. “People accused us of being inappropriate and immoral. But we kept going because we knew these were issues that needed to be addressed.”

Over time, those critiques have given way to an avalanche of positive feedback. Women began to publicly share their experiences, praising the brand and our content for tackling issues they once believed they would have to continue to endure in silence.

The Birth of a Vision: How It All Began

The Zenzsual story begins in 2011, long before the brand was officially launched. Dr. Senior and Dr. Herrera had known each other for years, working in related fields: Senior in aesthetic health and anti-aging, and Herrera in gynecology. Their shared passion was unmistakable: they both wanted to help women live fuller, healthier lives. However, their paths did not fully merge until Herrera joined Senior at her clinic in Venezuela.

“Women would come to my clinic with what seemed like superficial concerns,” Senior recalls. “But what they were really looking for was something deeper: these issues were often linked to sexual or emotional dissatisfaction. That’s when I realized we needed a more holistic approach, and that’s when I invited Sofia to join me.”

That decision marked the beginning of a collaboration that would evolve over the next seven years, culminating in the launch of Zenzsual in 2018. Their work together in Venezuela revealed a glaring gap in the healthcare system: while many products focused on aesthetics or general health, few addressed women’s intimate health from a comprehensive perspective.

“In Venezuela, we saw how women wanted solutions, not just for their appearance, but for their overall well-being,” says Herrera. “The connection between sexual, emotional and physical health was often overlooked.”

That gap became their opportunity. In 2018, after both emigrating to the United States, they founded Zenzsual with the goal of addressing women’s intimate health needs from a holistic perspective, providing not only products but also education.

A Holistic Approach to Intimate Health

What sets Zenzsual apart from other brands in the industry is its approach: addressing women’s health not as a set of isolated issues, but as an interconnected system. The brand’s signature products, from its pelvic floor trainer to its hyaluronic acid gel, are more than just prevention and care products—they’re tools designed to empower women.

“One of our first breakthroughs was the pelvic floor trainer,” Herrera explains. “We wanted to give women the ability to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles without the need for invasive treatments or constant visits to a clinic. This type of preventative care is crucial, but often overlooked.”

Hyaluronic acid gel, one of Zenzsual's best-selling products, has not only provided relief to thousands of women, but has improved the quality of their intimate relationships. "I got mine and I'm happy, and my partner even more so," says one satisfied customer. "It was really pleasurable and a unique sensation. I loved it from the moment I tried it." This type of feedback is what drives the brand to continue innovating.

The gel, inspired by Senior's work with facial treatments, was developed with the idea that the same principles that rejuvenate the skin could be applied to intimate health.

“I remember the first time I saw a comment from a woman saying that one of our products had saved her marriage,” says Herrera. “It was such a powerful moment because it validated everything we had been working toward.”

Growing its online community has been one of Zenzsual’s greatest achievements. What started with a few brave voices has grown into a supportive network for women who share their stories, offer advice, and provide encouragement to others facing similar challenges.

“We have seen an incredible transformation in our audience,” says Dr. Klara. “They are not just clients, they are part of a movement. We have created a space where women feel comfortable talking about topics that were previously considered taboo.”

Listening to Women's Needs: Innovation Through Feedback

Zenzsual’s success comes not only from the expertise of its founders, but from the voices of the women they serve. From the beginning, Senior and Herrera have made an effort to listen to their customers, taking their feedback seriously and using it to improve their products.

“When you’re in a clinic, you can only see so many patients a day,” says Herrera. “But through social media, we were able to reach thousands of women, and the feedback we received was invaluable.”

As Zenzsual celebrates its sixth anniversary, it does so with a long list of achievements and milestones. One of the most significant has been its role in changing the conversation about women’s intimate health.

“When we started, it was rare to see doctors talking about these issues on social media,” says Senior. “Now, it has become much more common, and we are proud to have played a role in that change.”

The company has also been at the forefront of product innovation, with several of its items becoming bestsellers in the intimate health market. The hyaluronic acid gel and pelvic floor trainer, in particular, have received rave reviews from customers, many of whom describe them as life-changing.

“The response to our products has been overwhelming,” says Herrera. “Women tell us they feel more confident, more comfortable in their own bodies and more connected to their partners.”

But beyond the success of their products, what Senior and Herrera are most proud of is the impact Zenzsual has had on the lives of the women they serve. For them, the real milestone isn’t in sales figures or social media followers, but in the stories of transformation they hear from their customers.

Women who once suffered in silence from issues such as low sexual desire, pain during intercourse or incontinence are now speaking openly about how strengthening their pelvic floor has transformed their physical and emotional wellbeing. “We’ve always said that Zenzsual is about more than just products,” Senior explains. “It’s about empowering women to live their best lives, to feel confident in their bodies and to embrace their sexuality without shame.”


The Next Chapter: What's to come

As Zenzsual looks to the future, the team is already hard at work on new projects and initiatives. While much of what’s to come remains under lock and key, Herrera and Senior hint at exciting developments both in the product line and on the educational side of the company.

“We have some really innovative products in the works,” Herrera says. “And we’re also working on expanding our educational resources, because we believe that continuing to share knowledge is just as important as the products themselves.”

One of the most exciting developments is the launch of the Zenzsual Foundation , the company’s non-profit arm dedicated to supporting women in situations of abuse, whether sexual, emotional or verbal. The foundation, which will officially launch later this year, will provide resources, education and support to vulnerable women.

Until now, the doctors had been contributing to a foundation that provides food and clothing to children living in extreme poverty on the Colombian-Venezuelan border.

“For us, this is about giving back,” says Herrera. “We’ve been fortunate to build a business that we’re passionate about, and we feel it’s our responsibility to use that success to help others.”

For women looking to follow in their footsteps, Senior and Herrera offer simple yet powerful advice: don't let fear stop you.

“It’s normal to be afraid when you try something new,” says Herrera. “But you can’t let fear paralyze you. You have to be willing to take risks, because if you don’t, you’ll never grow.”

Their journey has been far from easy, and they are quick to dispel any illusions of instant success. “There were many times when things didn’t go as planned,” Senior admits. “But we kept going because we believed in what we were doing.”

For them, the key to success has been passion, focus and persistence. “If you believe in what you are doing and keep working at it, you will achieve it.”
